Welcome from Ohio. I have a son in the Air Force who is stationed at Fairbanks and he lives in North Pole. He seems to have adjusted to your weather.

seems like quite of few of us here have Military connections! I was born/raised Navy, had 2 Navy husbands and #3 is a retired Coastie who works for the AF....

Welcome Judebug from a former Alaskan of 54 years. I lived in Chugiak, Eagle River, and prior to moving to N. Florida, Seward. Chilly here this morning, it was 15, cold, but I know I won't wake up to 10' of snow. You'll find this board helpful and friendly. Again a BIG WELCOME!
