Welcome from Minnesota USA. This site is very helpful, just ask and someone on here knows where to look.

The one bit of the States that I've visited! I have a good friend in Boulder, and am coming out to see her again next year. Can't wait to get back there! (Will need an extra suitcase to smuggle fabric home!)

Not so far from me then.
In just over a week I've had so much help here, and I love its busyness and the range of discussions. Haven't tried the tutorials yet. My only problem is making sure that not too much time goes into browsing around here instead of quilting.

New here as well but have been quilting a little less than 15 years. I hope you can find some help with your Janome as I LOVE mine. I did have some frustration right at the beginning and mostly late at night at night when I was tired and facing a deadline but as I said I LOVE MY JANOME!!It is quite user friendly so hang in there.

In the process butterfly crazy quilt

I love mine dearly for piecing, and it does a pretty good SITD, but FMQ - yuk. I've ordered the FMQ bobbin case, which is the machine's last chance: if that doesn't work, I'll be buying a new, non-Janome. Oh - and I've tried other machines and done FMQ successfully, so it's definitely the machine's problem not mine, as the dealer tried to tell me...

Possibility that I will be coming over there next month, checking
into flights, then have to check with penpal to see if that works for her. Will fly into Manchester if I come. Would be my 2md visit.
