I made a bunch of these criss-cross coasters last year. They're really quick and easy to do. You get to use scraps of fabric as well as scraps of batting. :D :D

Instructions say to use fusible batting but I found regular batting to work just as well....

Here are some patterns I found quickly, but if you go into the search button on the board, type coasters you will find a ton more .. Have fun :lol:

In the Tutorial section look for a tute from ShellyQ, I believe it is called a Christmas gift to you or My Christmas gift to you...and there are patterns in there for coasters and hot pads :D:D:D
