Welcome from Louisiana! I, too, suffered form depression about 10 years ago. I stopped taking meds for it because it made me feel worse. Sewing and quilting have been my therapy for the last 10 years. And I have to say I have never felt better or more content.

Hello from Central Louisiana :-)

You are not alone with your suffering :-) My boyfriend (now husband) use to tease me when I bought lots of fabric for projects I had yet to plan but NOW he encourages it :-) He knows it makes me feel better to have the potential of a project . . and I am even making him his very own quilt with snakes on it so I think that has something to do with it!

Welcome from CT, USA. Don't be afraid of anti-depressants. They can really help.

Thank you to everyone for the kind welcome. I'm suprised how many depression sufferers there are here. It gives me comfort that I am not the only one. Thank heavens for quilting, eh?
