Hi there, I am a new quilter, only made 2 yet so I can post both! :) First was from a daily calendar of blocks, just tried different ones. Second was an actual plan from a magazine.

Welcome from Beavercreek, Oregon!! Both your quilts are very nice!! I love the flowers on the bottom of your second quilt. Did you machine applique them? Are you sure you're a beginner?? They look very professional!! Great job!! :D

Welcome, KCK. You'll make a fabulous quilter. How do I know...you have already displayed the trait of generousity. I think it's one every quilter I know has. They are generous with their time, their talent, their knowledge & experiences, some even share their fabric...if you can imagine. Two quilts, two gifts. You're off to a GREAT start.
