Default Hello. Looking for QZone Hoop Frame users

I have recently purchased the QZone Hoop Frame and a Brother PQ 1500 SL. I have struggled for a few weeks and still not able to get a good quilt. I have had tension problems, which I have significantly improved but it seems after I get 2 or 3 rows quilted the tension needs adjusting. I don't know there is a problem until I take it off the frame. I started with just making the quilt sandwich from a whole piece of fabric. I have thrown away 3 learning project quilts because the stitches are poor quality--generally loops on the back. The first 2 or 3 rows are okay but then the tension seems to work itself loose with no adjustment being made in the settings. I have watched all the Youtube videos I can find. What I need is a training class. Does anyone know where or how I might get that training.

Not sure if this is applicable - when you get the first few rows ok and then have problems, is this all in one session? Are you getting tired maybe?

Sorry I can't help, but I wanted to say, "Hi and welcome" anyway. I'm sure that there are others here that can answer your questions.

No I don't think that is it. The tension is the problem. It starts out ok but something seems to change. It may be the speed I am using. I tend to speed up after I get started. I have ordered a stitch regulator which is supposed to adjust the speed of the machine to match the speed I am moving the machine. Maybe? Thanks for responding.

Do you like your Qzone frame? I'm thinking of purchasing it and curious to know how it works with larger quilts.

you can check your stitches by feeling the backside of the quilt you can tell if the tension is too tight or too loose. also the quilt should not be so tight on the frame it needs to be a little loose

Can't help with the frame, but can welcome you to the board. If your answer can be found, I'm sure it can be found here...this board is the best!

How did you come out with that hoop frame? The thread seemed real short. Leah Day has come out with another video on this. They are 900-and up in cost. I have a Millie long arm, but really want to sit down as my hips are talking to me.
I used to live in Belle Plaine. How far are you from that?
