I am the daughter, granddaughter, and niece of some really fantastic quilters. I have always loved the beauty of quilts and have dreamed of having the time and ability to finally create some of my own. Well, the time has come and I am a little intimidated! I've accumulated a nice collection of fabrics, how-to books, and tools, but am fearful of attempting a quilt. I thought I might start with some place mats for my daughter. Does anyone have any good patterns to suggest? You all are so helpful and knowledgeable. I'd appreciate any ideas! Thanks!

Welcome from East Central Illinois. I just love quilting and have so many ideas running through my head. I have started stockpiling material for some of them.

Are you near your mom or gran? I bet they would love to teach you!
