Welcome to the board from Spring, Texas. Wow what better way to kill time in the airport than talking about quilting and discovering the "Quilting Board". I sincerely hope you can find the Karen you met at the airport.

I would probably put "West Virginia" in the search and see if you have better luck that way. Just click on "Advanced search" at the top of the page and type in West Virginia. There are a few threads there where members are seeking other members. Maybe ask one of them if they've come across any members from WV named Karen... Or post in "In Search of" and post right in the title. "Nurse Karen from WV met at airport". Good Luck! Never know...

Welcome from Indiana -

I like how you said 'quilt patterns and you don't play well together - I'm the same way! I would expect that though...I don't follow recipes exactly either. LOL -

I agree with M.I.LATE's suggestion of posting a separate thread under "In Search Of".

Welcome again! Nan

Hi! I'm new to the board too. I don't know your friend but noticed your interest in vintage machines. Maybe you could help me? I just got an old dial n sew and it does not have a manual. I googled the model and came up empty. It is not stitching well. I think it may be the tension as the chain where the 2 threads come together is not right. I tried what I think is the tension knob in all the settings with no luck. I don't know where to oil it either and how often. Any idea about a manual? Thanks
