Hello from Northern Cal
Hi all! I am a complete newbie to sewing and to quilting. I've wanted to try it for years and finally bought a machine and a week later some material. Yesterday I went to start cutting my strips and I couldn't get the second piece of fabric to fold evenly so off to the Internet....and found this great site! I also found out that I should have pre-washed my fabric. Flannel does shrink. My 9 1/2 in strips are now 9 1/4 in. The first of what I am sure will be many mistakes

Another big hello and welcome from Northern CA!!! and don't worry about mistakes...........you are right when you say there will be more. We all make them. We call them "design opportunities"!!!!...........:')..............
