Welcome and Hi from North Carolina. Snow was predicted for us this weekend, but we got only cold rain. The mountains of NC got snow, but not us in the Piedmont. Snow is pretty, but I am housebound when it snows. I'm old and originally from Florida. I can't drive or even walk in the stuff!

Welcome, so glad you found us. I thought 7 below 0 at my house this morning was cold, boy was I wrong. I just look at it as a good excuse to stay in and do what else but quilt.

Welcome from South Louisiana. I cannot even fathom living in an environment that gets as cold as yours is. I am definitely a warm weather gal.

You poor dear! Welcome from Northern Indiana. I have birds and squirrels. You probably have mink and Polar Bears? Keep stitching. You will love it here a real warm set of quilters.

Welcome from the middle of the US - the state of Missouri. I have always wondered how you'all heat your houses up north? Gas, electric, wood???

Hello from usually Soggy Seattle. Doesn't look like we'll get snow this year but it is cold for us. I grew up in Alaska so I've had my share of cold winters and don't really miss it...

Thank goodness quilting is a warm activity. Of course I don't like that so much when it is hot out, I don't know why but it seems I always have a queen sized quilt that must be finished in August. I've used a vintage machine for the last 20 years and I've had access to a long arm for a couple of years, but back in November a friend gave me a modern Bernina and I'm just about finished with my first free motion project on my domestic machine. First thing I learned is the batting I chose was too thick
