Welcome from Australia, where the drought has finally broken and we are now complaining about the rain.

I don't know that machine, but I do know that you can get some great value in preused machines if they are in good shape. I'd be trying to work out why the owner was selling. Some machines are just cantankerous and I'd be checking out if it was being divorced for that reason (I keep threatening to sell mine, although actually we are getting along a lot better these days- I am putting more into the relationship!)

a warm welcome from western KY, I love my older Pfaff'as they just go and go. I had a 1229 that was a real workhorse, have my hobby 947, had it over 25 years, and I have 3 7570's which I will nwever give up, just love them! they do all I want from a machine, good luck on the machine hunt, and hope your fingers heel alright

Hello and welcome from central Alabama. I suggest you try out several new and old machines and see what seems to "fit" you best. I like my old mechanical, I'm not really into fancy electronic machines.

Welcome and hope your fingers heal quickly. I have a Pfaff 1471 that I bought new back in 1985, wouldn't trade it for the world. It has been a great machine and does FMQ very well. In my opinion you can't go wrong with this machine but, be sure to sew on it and check it out first.
