I have sewn many things, mostly doll, and childs clothing, bags, my wedding dress, beaded silk is hell on the fiskars. I have done applique and also did embroidery and crochet including rag rugs. I have been collecting fabric for a while and am ready to do some serious sewing/Quilting esp. Will be doing most of my sewing on a 30 yr-old Singer, but am also looking for tips in choosing a more advanced machine once I get going. I also envision making a living in this creative medium. I have a number of ideas to begin with but, can use some technical advice here and there.

Susan, Welcome-I am also a quilter in Montana. And I have made a business out of it. If you have any questions, just let me know. Where in MT are you at?

Just ask away on anything you would like to know. Have you tried selling your items at any type of markets? And what kind of things to you have to sell. I do markets here in Butte and a few in Bozeman. I'm usually at one every weekend.
