I'm from Red Oak, TX and have been sewing and quilting since I was in the 5th grade. I say quilting in that I love to piece the tops but have difficulties in quilting the quilts. I am in a wheelchair and it is very difficult for me to sandwich the quilts with the batting and backing and squareing it off. If anybody has any ideas to make it easier, please let me know. My husband and I collect Vintage Singer Machines. We have around 25 at the present with the large majority of them in working condition. My favorites are the Singer 15-91, 401A and the Featherweight 222K. We have 2 grandchildren with another on the way. I love sewing for the grandkids. My online name is Aggiequilter, but my first name is Patsy.

Hello from the Central Valley of CA. One daughter lives near you in Cleburne, and loves it. She's always hinting I might want to come visit and maybe stay.

Hello and welcome from Ontario. Check out Sharon Schambler (sp?) site she has a method to sandwich and baste a quilt on the table using boards to hold everything straight and tight.

You should come on out. The fall is a nice time in Texas, but the very best time of the year is in the Spring when the wildflowers are out ( Late March thru April). After seeing that you just might decide to stay. The summers are hot though.
