Welcome from another Iowan, although I've only been here 10 years. I'm about 20 miles south of Council Bluffs. I moved here after my husband died to be near my only child and grandchildren.

Welcome from sunny Florida. I also love the videos on You Tube. It inspired me to start making crumb blocks from the many scraps I have accumulated over 40 years of quilting. I am currently watching the beginner's lessons in FMQ. I hand quilted for years but arthritis in my hands has put a stop to that. Hopefully I will be able to feel at east while quilting by machine. You will learn a lot from the member of this board. Good luck.

Hey, I am amazed by all the Iowa people on the board. I live 20 miles from Iowa’s Great Lakes area. We have lost so many quilt shops in a 30 mile area. We have a small shop in my town and a shop just north across the border. So, you can bet I check the shops in Des Moines when visiting our son and spend way to much on the Iowa Quilt Shop Hop.
