Actually I joined several months ago but hadn't done more than read, read, read all the great information and look at all the pictures for more great inspiration! My husband and I are both retired and ready to begin traveling. I have a grandmothers flower garden quilt in mind to piece as we travel through Canada and Alaska this summer. (2009). I'm happy to be here and will participate when I can.

Happy Sewing! Dakotamaid

Welcome from Oklahoma.

You say you will piece it while traveling. Are you doing this by hand while hubby drives? Or at night when you stop. I admire anyone who can piece by hand. It must be very satisfying......

Welcome to the board from Ireland. Enjoy your travels, and let us have pics of your quilt as it progresses. This was the first pattern I made, back in the 60's!

Hello and Welcome!!! :D :D :D Pictures would be fun to see as you travel around and work on your quilt!!! They would also make a good booklet to keep with your quilt for future generations to see the "history" behind the quilt
