    Hello everyone,
I have been lurking for a short time and now am a member. I enjoy reading all the interesting topics discussed. I have been doing the one block wonder. When I started to sew my rows together I am getting peaks and valleys. It is very frustrating as I don't know what happen; I paid close attention to my seams. I have asked QS gals and they don't know what would cause all the "stretch". I realize that 2 of the 3 seams are on the bias but this is getting me irritated as I don't know what to do to remedy the situation. Does anyone have some advise or had this experience? HELP!!

I will give you a couple of bookmarks for current OBW tutorials, but the first thing I can think of is control issues <g>
I have them ... it makes us hold the fabric too tightly and pull, rather than allowing the machine to do the work. Without pictures, it is pretty hard to see what you are really concerned about, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these quilting Board links. It will also give you a chance to meet some us regulars <wave>

1 Step at a time, my dear ... one step at a time <g> you are on your way to a stellar career in quilting ... every quilter I have ever met who selected the hardest most expensive supplies has been a success! <wave>

Hi and welcome from Oregon Ive read not to use steam when pressing if you have cute on the bias, that this will streach the fabric.

good point ... and, that thing about pressing (just up and down with the iron) rather than ironing (running the iron back and forth) ... good point <wave>
