    Hi,

I'm from deer isle, Maine, an island on the coast. Lots of rain from Hurricane Earl, a bit of wind, no damage.

I sew quilts as I can, have done slowly for am long time, and I'm teaching 10y/o granddaughter how to quilt. Both of us love color, saturated colors.

Hello! Welcome from Idaho! How fun to teach your GD to quilt, especially when you have the same taste in color.

Hi, and welcome from Texas. Good to hear Hurricane Earl went by with no damage.
I always enjoy quilting when it rains.
This site will give you and your granddaughter some good ideas, and glad to have you both here!

    Welcome, welcome.

I have always wanted to visit Maine. Got close going to Keepsake Quilting a few years ago.

I too, am teaching my GD to quilt.

Hope you have a wonderful time, bonding with your GD and the wonderful colors of fabrics!

    Just Jan

Welcome from southeastern PA! We got lots of wind but not a drop of water. We could really use some rain.

Quilter4hire and fun, have you gotten the catalogue from Keepsake quilting. I went to the store once and it is overwhelming but such a neat place to just go and look and look.

Welcom MarieGranny, I am from Augusta, Maine. This is an addicting place but a fun place. I have gotten a lot of good info, ideas, and comments of a lot of different topics. LOve the pictures too. We got mostly rain and a little wind from Earl. But boy do I like the air now. Enjoy the site. BarbZ

Hello from Massachusetts. Earl was not that big of a deal here. Way to hyped up a few hours of rain is all we got on the North Shore of Boston!

I make a trip there once a year. yes it is overwhelming. There is no going in just to get what you need. browse browse browse.

When we lived in Vermont, we moved here summers. It was quite a production with 3 kids, 2 dogs, 1 sewing machine, fabric etc., DH's writing and lastly, our clothing.

Of course we drove through New Hampshire and once stopped at Keepsake Quilting. It was an incredible store. I have always wanted to go to their 4th of July sale. That is evidently a pretty wild scene. We'd have to sleep in the car, I fear to get close at all.

Not many close quilt shops nearby here. It's over 60 miles round trip to one, 120 miles round trip to JoAnns. But Penobscot Bay is in our front yard!
