Hi.. I am new to quilting and sewing in General. I am a fairly new mom and started crafting when I had my first baby 2 years ago! Looking for any tips to help me in my journey, I want to make a family quilt or maybe a momento quilt for my children. Any ideas or examples please show me! Thanks!!

Welcome to the board from Ireland. Perhaps, when you read some of the threads here, an idea will come to you. Don't be afraid to ask questions, everyone is very friendly.

Welcome, try using a simple block such as a 3 or 4 rail fence block. Use muslin and a baby print and then write or emborider your baby's grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, etc. on the rail blocks. Like a family tree of names.

Hi and welcome! This board is a great place for fun and inspiration.

I have younger kids too- 3 and 5- and I have been saving their old pajamas. I will eventually make a quilt using squares cut from their footie type pajamas and then I can use it to cuddle with when they go away to college and leave me with no one but DH to talk to! LOL! Seriously though, a lot of people make quilts from their kids' old clothes. It's just one idea- hope it helps.
