My name is Kathy, y'all can call me Katt. I am rather new to the quilting world so I need to know where to start. I am an avid sewer (I actually have an emrodery business on the side & make handbags, diaperbags & such.
I have made one quilt in my life, many, many years ago just a simple one 6" squares then hand tacked it togother. It last many, many years.
No I am thinking on trading my emb. machine for a long arm quiliter & getting into quilting instead....any suggestions of where to start with the quilting. I have no clue...need lot of help but i have oodles of fabric from purses & such I need to get used up & I am really interested in making some quilts....HELP!!!!where to start! ;)

Welcome Katt!! I would not invest in a longarm until you get a few small quilts under your belt. Maybe start with wall hanging size, doll size, pot holders, placemats, etc. Or quilted bags. Then move on to lap quilts (that's as big as I've done so far).
