I have finally registered to post on the Quilting board a few weeks ago after maybe four years of occasionally looking to see what's going on here. And I guess I ought to introduce myself before I'm no longer "new"!

I'm a mom to three little kids and I credit quilting with keeping me sane since it's just about the only thing that doesn't come undone every day.

I am a fanatic about free motion quilting and since I'm a bit of a free spirit when it comes to piecing (read: I'm not too accurate at piecing), I do quilts that are wholecloth or nearly so, and some applique work too. I do admire those who do great piecing!


A lovely lady at the place where we got our car is a quilter and long armer and she tells me she visits the Quilting Board every morning! Hi!

I live in south central Virginia and homeschool my kids.

I'm chronically sleep deprived.

I love learning more about quilting and being inspired by other quilters.

Hi Amy, good to have you with us. You will really enjoy the QB, there are a lot of really nice people here that are very knowledgeable about many things. There are also some that will encourage any of your addictions.
