And welcome from Lake Charles, Louisiana! I'm not terribly familiar with Baton Rouge, only around the LSU area since both my daughters went there. You have some very interesting areas there, but the traffic is a bear!

Welcome from Denham Springs! Are any of you going to the GSQA Seminar in March?

Hi Tealady: I'm in the Southwest Corner of Mississippi, 60 miles from Baton Rouge. Any chance you are in a quilting club?

I am a retired legal secretary, married to a minister/school teacher. We have three adult children, and five grandchildren. I have retired from making garments and am now into quilting. My Grandmother, Mother and Mother in Law taught me to quilt. However, we didn't make them for "pretty" we made them for "use".

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I tell people I'm from the Baton Rouge area because so few people have ever heard of Denham Springs - which is where I live. It is right outside BR.

Louisiana has a lot of places like that -- I really live in Moss Bluff, not really part of Lake Charles -- actually not really a part of anything. But we do have our own post office and McDonalds.
