I'm so new, I haven't really begun. ;-) I'm in the process of gathering tools, tips, and ideas for a small project to get my feet wet. I admit, this venture scares me a bit, although I've always wanted to learn to quilt. I just got back from JoAnn's where I bought one of their "Learn To Quilt" kits to make a wall hanging. Figured that might be a good way to begin.
Thank you for having me as a member on this site. ~~~Lynn |
Hi Lynn, welcome from northern Minnesota!
Another suggestion is to take a class at your LQS. I was amazed by how much I learned at my first quilt class. |
Welcome from Ireland.

welcome! If we can help ask away.....

Welcome, I am new too. That's a good way to start quilting. I started with place mats. I started with rail fence and log cabin shapes. I still am not much for triangles. I like to finish my project within a day or two of starting; can't stand UFO's in my house. Although I do have a couple.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome! I agree that you'll probably enjoy a class at your LQS and check out guilds in your area, too. Great place to find mentors, good tips, and often classes, too. Have fun and just go for it!

Welcome Lynn, I wish you only the best with your new adventure, quilting. Do you have any experience with sewing? There is always someone here that can help with questions you may have. Looking forward to seeing you advance.
