Another Texas quilter!
Hi,
I'm new to quilting, just yesterday finished binding my very first quilt. It's small (40x60"), to be used as a lap quilt. I used a vintage Singer 301 to piece the top, a vintage Singer 15-91 to free motion quilt the top and borders, and a vintage Singer 500a to attach the binding to the front. I used my vintage fingers to sew the binding to the quilt back! Love my vintage Singers. The vintage fingers are probably too vintage---future bindings are likely to be sewn completely by machine. My mother used to do the quilting by hand, but it's already too late for me to quilt that way. But it was fun! I look forward to learning from all the experienced quilters here. KYJ |
