Back after a loooong break
Hi everyone. After a two year break I am back to the board. My things have changed. I am here to get motivated again. I haven't touched a quilt or fabric for that matter in awhile. After having 4 completed quilt tops stolen, my husband's cancer and several other "bummers" I have finally found the motivation to begin quilting again. I live in Colorado and my poor state is being devastated by the flooding. Some are calling it a 1,000 year flood. With all of this mess I am so looking forward to visiting the site often and being surrounded by everything quilting.

Good for you. This is a wonderful place to while away some time to get re-motivated. There are some really fine people on here very willing to talk and help.

Welcome back from the gulf! been sending prayers from the gulf to all across the nation devastated by natural and man-made disasters! but getting on the board on a daily basis and throughout the day is nice! Kind of like what's been happening in the last few minutes!:)

Yikes! I have been seeing the pics of the devastating flooding going on in Colorado..meanwhile my area of Texas is in a drought...sending prayers your way on that as well as the rough times you've had... I know quilting has been a lifesaver for me!
Regards, K |
The flooding is receding but it will be months if not years before everything can be fixed. We have been in a bad drought for the past few years and now this. I hope the drought is broken for us and that the other drought areas will have some relief. Thanks for all of the good thoughts and prayers.

Welcome back from Australia. We have fires and floods on a regular basis out here.
I hope you haven't lost fabrics from your stash as well. If you were closer I'd love to share some of mine. I haven't been able to sew for ages. My inflammatory arthritises and my husbands poor health plus moving to Melbourne have kept me away from the sewing room. Hopefully after next weeks breast biopsy and I get the results I will feel able to start sewing again.hang in there: you aren't alone. |

I have family out near you in Colorado. Welcome back...I too have lurked on and off over the last few years. I can't find a thread to post on how great this site is. :) It seems to be run so well, and has SO many good people posting in a very positive way! I hope you will be happy here in the time you spend here and that your area will be restored to some semblance of normal very soon. God Bless. m:)
