Back to quilting from Florida
Happened to be browsing the web and found this site several months ago. My grandmother taught me how to quilt over 45 years ago on her singer treadle machine. Thank God she had patience. Haven't done any quilting in a long time. Life seemed to be just so busy. Well, after reading everyone's postings and seeing all the beautiful quilts, I just had to dig out the machine. I took a week and tore down our second bedroom and converted it into a sewing room. Then I took 2 weekends to wash all the fabric I had gathered over the years. Ironed and wrapped on homemade bolts made from old manilla folders and the rest is history. In less than 3 months I have pieced 3 quilts. Now just have to get the courage to start quilting.
Thanks to everyone's postings, I'm back in the peace of quilting deb from FloridaFlorida |
