Backslider beginner
 

I have only been quilting for two years. I love it! So far have made a total of seven quilts for grandkids and my daughter. I want to make everything I see, but at 63 time is running out. I have a singer sewing machine, but I NEED a better one, just can't afford one right now. So, I plug along. I have taken some classes, but mostly just love to look at patterns on line for hours. I am new to this site. Live in Colorado and love it! Every skirt or shirt I see someone wear I think...that would make a GREAT quilt...

Welcome, I'm 63 also and fighting getting older with all I got and my sewing machine :). I haven't made near as many quilts as everyone here, but I'm having a wonderful time and learning lots of things here on the board. Keep sewing and smiling and everyone will wonder what you're up too :)

And when you look at different photos, you start seeing them in quilts. You want to walk up to some people and ask "Can I have the shirt off your back?" Welcome to the forum! Wealth of information here. I'm 63 and time is not running out for me. You just got a second wind! Inhale!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Golly, don't claim that 63 thing. Age is just a number. I'm 84 and still going. My husband is 86 and works 10 hrs a day hard. Work keeps us young. So keep on going. Don't slow down. I want to LIVE until I die. don't want to do nothing. P.S. You may have a better old Singer than the new ones now.
