I am a NYC quilter, frequently visiting family in Oakland. Always seeking new quilting friends.
And our NYC Bee welcomes guests when you are in our town. Cheers!

I also have family in Oakland, can't get to visit as often as I would like, I haven't met any sewing groups there but keep a sewing machine at my daughter's house, my grandson's save me their mending. LOL
There are a couple of great shops in Berkeley, Stonemountain Daughter's, they would probably have information o sewing groups. Stacy Sharman also has a shop in Berkeley but I can't remember the name since she moved from Oakland but I took a very fun quilt class from her about 4 years ago.

The shops here are wonderful. I'm going to a few drop ins and hope to make new friends. TY
