Welcome from MN - can't help you with the Bernina question as I am owned by a Janome!

I have the Bernina 440. Did you end up getting one? I love mine. I have a Janome embroidery machine so I didn't need that with my Bernina. Did I mention I love it?

I haven't used the BSR a lot yet. I was busy making dresses for my daughters wedding so I used several of the other features. I'm hoping to get busy using the BSR here soon and finish up some tops I have.

I have the Bernina 440QE and I love it! I bought this one new a couple of years ago but I also just purchased a used 200 from ebay and got a great deal!

Just hang in there and practice with the BSR :-)

Have you tried the needle felting yet?
