Perhaps when we go to our daughter's I can PM (Private Message) you and we can meet and have iced tea or coffee or something? Would you be up for that? Let me know, Beth

Not at all sure about the song, but I'm not offended. I'm very familiar with SoCal, too. We will have some things to talk about....:o)

Hello from further south in CA, San Jose to be exact, I am in the hub of Silicon Valley and just hate the traffic! Most of my children live here so we are stuck here until we are all tired of making the big bucks in exchange for peace and quite. Wonder when that will be? Anyway you will have lots of fun and learn a lot on this site. Welcome!
hello |
Hi and welcome from another California quilter!!!
You will love it here. Everyone is friendly and helpful and very talented. I'm friendly and want to be helpful, but I'm not as talented as most of the quilters on this board. However, what I lack in quilting skills I make up for in enthusiasm.... and I'm learning! And, so far, no one seems to mind   I'm not too far from you... in Suisun City at the edge of the Grizzly Island Bird Sanctuary |
You are certainly one busy lady.....that is good for us retirees! Keeps us "out of trouble"....LOL! (Well, sort of.....!)

Welcome from Oakhurst, California!

Sorry I missed your question about Galt. John Galt was the main character in Atlas Shrugged. One of my all time favorite books, and I am not really a socialist!

Out of trouble?! Not so much!  For an old lady, I sure seem to get into the thick of things more often than I like, but y'know the saying..." 'stuff' happens". My kids say it's because I volunteer so much of my time to so many places. Maybe they're right, but I love my life!! And especially quilting! |
I downloaded the book from the Library E files just a couple days ago. Am going on a little trip and plan to listen when I have some "off" time.....thanks for reminding me what a good book I thought it was when I was in my early 20's (a thousand years ago...LOL). It will be interesting to see what I think now.
