Is it hard and/or expensive to get fabric in Italy? |
thanks to all for the warm welcome and for the happy atmosphere :)
and.... yes, i know very well "fabric language" hugs francesca |
patch is not so spreaded like in usa here in italy.
in Milano, where i live, there are a few very specialised shop where i can find almost everything. fabrics are really expensive 18/19 euro per meter - one meter is a little more than 1 yard, but 18 euro are more than 18 bucks. i buy most of my fabrics on the net from usa online shops because i have much more choice and furthermore i can have them earlier: when there is a new collection of fabric, i can see it in italy 3 months later, supposed that some shop has taken it. and for books: only from usa and some from australia. hugs francesca |
