Hi, I am a newbie quilter from Portland, OR. I have been reading this board for several weeks now. Have been quilting (or trying to) since January, I used to sew for 4-H as a teen and am much older now,(senior citizen) and I must say the old seam allowances still come back to me. I have finally mastered sewing 1/4" seams. I am not particularly artistically inclined but the quilting facinates me and I feel like I am finding some artistic talent(at least my friends tell me I am doing a great job!) I have a lot of patterns, some day I will get to them all, but I find that one pattern makes many different looking quilts when done by others and just the color change is facinating. I hope you all will end up being friends.

Welcome from SC. It seems there is no end to designs and patterns for quilts. I love checking them out on line. i just finished a block I thought was a great color match. When I stepped back it is way too busy. May be I will make a doll quilt out of it.

You will love the QB. :D
