I have an elna excellence 740 and am having problems with it - does anyone else have this machine? and could you share your experience with it?

Hi, there. You're up early (late?). What exactly is the machine problem? A thorough cleaning might work wonders. I can always tell when a ball of lint builds up under the bobbin.

I just looked up your Elna model. That is a really nice machine. Read some stuff on Pattern Review. Some folks were having feeding problems and buttonhole problems with the machine and it sounded like they were problems that were glitches in the machine itself and had to be worked out with the dealer/company.

There's a yahoo group for its Janome twin, the Horizon. Very helpful, active group. Some 740s are subject to a recall btw, due to a single incident of fire. Be sure to find out if your machine is included.
