I am new to quilting, and admire all the lovely handi work shown in this website. I really don't need any bed quilts, as mine have worn well, therefore I'm just starting out with sofa throws. I'm wondering if there's any one out there that has done "English Paper Piecing" It's a very old art, that I just learned last winter. It's a great way to use up very small scraps of fabric. This is all done by hand, with paper templates or shapes, and it can be timely, compared to machine quilting. I feel it's a great way to use my time wisely at night, while sitting in front of the TV. Can any one post pictures of the work they have done? I would be so pleased. Luscious Marilyn

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D

There are many here who EPP and handpiece other blocks as well. Try searching for EPP or Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts, and you will find info and pictures, too :D:D:D

Welcome from Louisiana. I am working on one now. I call it my life project. I have about 1/2 of the flowers done. I hit and miss working on it. Go to the top of this page and click on "Search" then type in EPP or Grandomther's flower Garden and lots of post will come up. Enjoy!

Welcome from Washington State. Cindy McCoy has some free workshops and other stuff regarding EPP. Check out her site, you'll probably like it a lot.

one of many done by board members.
i always have 'travel' projects going on, good to keep me busy during 'down-time' at work and when waiting at appointments.
i not only do the hexagons, but tumbling blocks, dresden plates, all kinds of shapes and sizes of e.p.p.
i did find i did not like making 1/4" hexagons (removing the papers was a pain) but i do 3/8" up to 2 1/2" ones to create bouquets
