In the beginning they had to thread the needle for me and even cut the material. The very first thing I made was a sock monkey, he came out a little crooked but with personality! Ever since then I have been hooked on sewing. I have good days and bad days, during my good days I sew. I have made quilts for each of my 4 grand-daughters and now I am making one for my daughter. It is an envelope quilt and I want it to be extra special so I am going to try and hand quilt it. I thought about doing a stitch in the ditch but then I don't know what to on the envelope part. Any suggestions?

OH MY GOODNES HOW PRETTY IT LOOKS VERY FASHIONABLE THESES DAYS I REALLY JUST LOVE IT I AM GOING TO PUT THAT ONE ON MY (TO DO LIST) THANKS A MILLION.

OMG that quilt is gorgeous. I have never seen that pattern. NICE JOB! You need to think about how it is going to look years from now. if you don't quilt the envelopes they will sag, and all go in diff directions. If I were quilting it (and I'm not, just a suggestion) I would quilt 1/4 inch around the inside of envelope (leaving top open) and on down the middle so you can at least have the effect of the envelope, and it will just be split in the middle. it would be 2 halves. like two u shapes. you can still slide something in the envelope.
OMG once again, LOVE IT!
