Everything by hand

Hi,
I am new to this site. I am a self taught beginning quilter. I like to do it all by hand, piecing, quilting. I make wall hanging quilts and I especially like flowers but not the primitive one. I am looking for applique patterns for 12 different flowers. I would like to put them in 6-8" blocks. Any ideas where I could find these patterns
Thank in advance
Karen

Hello,

I just wanted to welcome you to the board. Unfortunately, I do not know where to get the patterns you are looking for, but if you type " applique flowers free patterns" in a search engine, I'm sure you will find some. The members of this board are amazing, friendly, and helpful people, so I hope someone is able to help you out. Maybe look in coloring books and trace your own with a light box???

Welcome!! free applique is everywhere!! if you truely love that and want everything by hand look at the accuquilt it might be a great investment for you. It cuts out tons of different applique and then your free to hand do it all. Or google free patterns but pretty much if you can trace it on fabric you can make it!!! Happy Quilting!!!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. It is best if you can find some free flower appliques that you like and are at your skill level. You might also look under Baltimore album flower free blocks for some really intricate applique. You can look under applique flowers for your states/provinces/districts to try. You could see if www.quilterscache.com or quilt blocks galore has any you could use. I think it's great that you like to do everything by hand.

Welcome! I also do hand applique. I like to get preschool coloring pages off the internet. The pieces are usually larger and so they are easier to piece and applique. One of the sites I frequently use is http://www.coloring.ws/. You can also google preschool coloring pictures of ...

Welcome to the site. When I started out, I did everything by hand but finally started piecing by machine because I wanted to make more quilts and other projects. Glad you are joining us.
