Thanks for the warm welcome! The residence of the small town of Shipshewana are 50% Amish....just beautiful country! We have over 100 speciality shops and the largest flee market in the mid-west from May 1th through October 30th. Additionally, Shipshewana has antique and collectable auctions every Wednesday, and an animal auction every Friday year-round. Our mercantile building is the largest stick built building in the US (built entirely by Amish and featured on CNN). Indiana is the third largest Amish settlement in the US. A couple of times a year there are charity auctions where Amish quilts are sold for very reasonable prices. You can all learn more at www.shipshewana.com. Hope to see you there!

My Sampler quilt is in Shipshewana and I am currently in NH, and I haven't completed my current quilt projects but I will try to get pictures out soon. I will also take photos of the Amish quilts that I have purchased at auction. Thank you for asking.

Welcomefrom Maine. This site is wonderful. You get sooomany ideas and tips and once in a while a good laugh. A great bunch of fun people. Its amazing how you see youself over and over in so many of the replies. Like seam ripping queens, fabric stachers, dithering over colors, patterns and on and on. Happy Quilting.
