Hello from Washington.

I'm not sure if this is what you want but here is a topic I started when I was having trouble with my blocks lining up:

Hello and Welcome from Northern Indiana ! Glad you joined us

I was working with my niece this weekend and she was having problems with fabric "shifting" she couldn't keep the fabric straight. Well after watching her for a bit come to find out she was moving the fabric with her hands instead of guiding the fabric . Could this be happening ? even if it only is a very slight move it will throw the fabric out of kilter

Someone posted a tip about keeping block pieces together to stitch them without having them shift. The tip: Use glue sticks like those school children use to glue paper together. Put a little glue stick on the seam allowance of one piece of fabric and align the other piece on top of it and press together with your fingers. When you sew along the quarter inch allowance, the fabric will stay aligned correctly and won't have the pins in the way. Also, the glue won't gum up on your machine needle.
