I am excited to have found this site (while googling for information on what size my hand quilting stitches should be, more on this later)

I am forty-something mother of three, with a fulltime job, so quilting is a squeeze-it-in-somehow occupation for me and my projects take too long to do, but I hope I can learn some tips here (as well as one day "getting more organised"- top item on my to do list)

I have wanted to make a full sized bed quilt in many colours since I owned my first kaleidoscope. Yes, it has to be complex, nothing can be easy!

In the meantime, I am working on small projects to get some skills. And buying lots of fabrics, for when the day finally arrives and I can actually, em, start.....

Looking forward to getting to know you and snoop all your projects for ideas!

So glad you did! My quilting time started that way. Now I'm retired and my quilting time is still that way. I babysit my grandson and there isn't a lot of me time. But I do enjoy him. He's not as relaxing as quilting, but he's a whole lot of fun! Welcome from Texas.

Organization is a process.
When you put things away in the same place, that is part of organization...

When I began, I only had two ways to organize.
A dresser drawer, and a plastic fish & tackle box. But it worked until I out grew them.

This is a great place to have stumbled upon.
Supportive quilters, nice chat room, helpful tutorials, and fun swaps.
Not to mention the wonderful picture show.

Welcome from now oily Florida.
