Hi Woody, I will visit Canberra in Sept.2010. I have been dabbling in quilting a long time, make mostly wall hangs not bed quilts. Prefer paper piecing for it's precision. Enjoy contemporary designs and unusual pieces. I belong to a quilt guild that brings in teachers from all over the world to teach us classes. Also joined an on-line quilt show called The Quilt Show that tapes teachers who show their techniques. the latest was Gloria Loughman from Au. do you know her?
Perhaps we can meet in Sept.? I will be staying at The Marque Hotel Canberra from Sept. 22-28 Dorothy |
Welcome from New Mexico USA. This is a great board for learning and friendships. I have been quilting for just about 2 years and love it. There is always something new to learn and so fun to play with all the fabric.

Hi, you have probably read my note that I will visit Au. in Sept. Plan to go to Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.
It is great to find so many Australian quilters. I used to get a book on paper piecing that was printed in Au. but it was discontinued- I enjoyed it so much for I do love paper piecing. Where in Sydney would I find a quilt shop? dot10932 |
