Umm...it's made in China ;-)

Not quite sure what information you're after. There's almost no fabric in my local fabric store that has fabric with Aboriginal type motifs, if that's what you're asking about. But you do see those types of motifs on souvenir items like purses or tea towels. And those items are made in China more often than not.

Logan's Fabric store in Sydney has fabric with aboriginal type motifs etc but I'm not sure where it is manufactured. You are probably correct when you say it could be manufactured in China. Any way you are welcome to check out their website.

As far as I'm aware we don't produce fabrics in Australia (others on the board may know different.) I buy 100% cotton quilting fabrics from my local fabric store at anything from $5 - $15 per metre. I try jump in when they are having a sale to keep the costs down. I think we get a lot of US brands here. I have recently purchased some David Textiles fabrics.

Country of manufacture for fabrics I can get locally is China, Korea or India mostly. Many Aussies on the board do buy online, from America but delivery charges mean we have to make it a big order to justify the cost :-)

You would not believe the cost of cotton batting here. SO expensive.

Hmmm, some of you inspired Aussies should start your own manufacturing company and produce local fabrics. You would 'corner the market'!!

Hello and welcome form Kansas

I do buy fabric frequently from the US. Have also bought fabric from NZ and still do buy some locally although I find the prices in the US even with postage added is half to less the charges here in Australia. I do like to support locally but sometimes the fabric is not even available here.

Yes, batting is very explensive here also.
