Greetings from California!
Hi everybody!
I've been sewing and quilting on and off since I was about 8 (I'm lucky enough to have had two grandmothers who loved to quilt and sew and didn't mind me experimenting in their sewing rooms) and lately I find myself obsessed with all things quilt related. Tomorrow morning I get to pick up my first "big girl" sewing machine - I splurged on a Janome MC6600P. I can't wait! I've ambitiously decided that most of my friends and family will be getting oversize lap quilts for Christmas so naturally I have six quilts in various stages of completion and four more down on paper with a stash for each growing...I can't wait to get my new toy and get some of them done! This is not to imply I'm an especially good quilter, most of my work is still pretty primitive but I'm stepping it up a bit lately and trying some more advanced things. :) I kept finding this board when researching things on Google so I figured I might as well join and stop lurking! |

I'm really not used to sewing with a machine that zips right over 8 layers of fabric without even noticing. And I know that's barely scratching the surface of what this machine can do! THIS is a machine I will be growing into for awhile. |
Thanks for all the greetings! Lots of people from Cali here! (What am I saying...there's a lot of people from EVERYWHERE here! LOL)
