Greetings from Hockley TX

Hello!
I am relatively new to forums. From the looks of my profile, I signed up many Many moons ago and did nothing after that point <G>
So here we are. I am from Hockley, which is right outside of Houston, NW. I have an HQ16. I also own a couple of Janomes, one is a Sewing/Embroidery and one just a sewing ( would like to sell that one ). I have a Happy 15 thread embroidery machine and a Babylock serger, which I have seldom used.sigh. <G> All the toys one needs to turn out quilts<G> Ok, I know, there is a couple of wee bit of problems <G> The one I am looking into right now is the HQ. I am looking for someone who would love to come play with my machine and help me feel more comfortable with it<G>. I have had it for several years and I am still stuck in the "let's wander around in vague swirls mode" I also have trouble with tension. Yes, I have read the book. Yes, I have watched the videos. Yes, I am an idiot.sigh <G> but I am a happy idiot <G>. So if there is anyone around my area that knows something or WANTS to know something about the HQ, just send me an email or a message here or however it works. Hey, I don't mind someone who has never used one, they might just understand what I am doing wrong. See, I am flexable. lol. or that might be desperate.. not really sure anymore<G>

There was a BIG quilt show in Houston recently, not sure if that was just for industry insiders or not. Did you get to go?

Welcome to the boards from another new member.

I see I have lots of neighbors in the Houston area! Unfortunately I am unable to help anyone out with anything quilting/sewing related as I am rather rusty myself. But I think we came to the right place!
