I take 2 days off work every year to go to Quilt Festival. It's wonderful! In the old days when I had more time, I used to take the whole week off and take classes and attend Festival. Sadly, I just don't have time to do that now. Maybe in a few years I can retire and spend more time sewing and at Festival.
I have never been, but thinking og making out there this year. Hubby has family in Houston, could have a place to stay....

You really should go. It's the most amazing collection of quilts and quilting vendors. So much too see and the classes are awesome, too. But you do need to check out the classes ahead of time. They fill fast. The class schedule for 2013 is here You should be able to find all the info you need there also.
PM me if you have any questions, I've done Festival for about 15 or 20 years now every year so I'm pretty well versed on what you need to know.
