I am a Mother of 3 and a grandmother of 12 including 2 sets of twins. I love to sew and am just getting into quilting. I have a very spoiled part Maine coon cat that weighs almost 17lbs. and a black lab.
Love sewing machines & have the Janome 11000, Janome coverstitch 1000, Viking 936 serger, and Viking #1.

Happy to hear from someone in Maine! We had lobsters today, my son bought lobsters for Mother's Day and there was a couple of very large ones included. Yummy, although I like the little ones better.

Have you been quilting long? I am just starting.

Peggy

Peggy--There are a lot of us from Maine here on the Quilting Board. I have been quilting for over 15 years and sewing since I was 12 (now that's a long time, LOL). Within the past year I have worked on some special projects...mosher92 and I made 13 I Spy quilts that we donated to Angels and Elves (we hope to do more this year) to make a child's Christmas a little happier. I am now working on a Breast Cancer Awareness Quilt that will be raffled off during the Making Strides Against Breat Cancer Walk in October. Happy Quilting!

You are stirring up childhood memories! We used to go to Moosehead Lake when I was a kid.

Hi Peggy...another Mainer here...Bangor area. Welcome. I am fairly new to this site too but can't stay away! Since I started a few weeks back I have pulled out all my machines, bought hundreds of dollars of new fabric and started, gosh, maybe a dozen projects! The talents and creativity that I see here are really motivating!!
