I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Sally. I'm a very, very beginner quilter. I started in August of 2015, although my fabric stash would suggest otherwise!

My first quilt was a rag quilt - start small and easy, right? From there, I began trying many different blocks. Then I began reading about Electric Quilt so I bought an older version (5) and now I can put my fabrics in different blocks to see how the block and then quilt will look. That is handy!

I work full-time (for 3 more years) so evenings and weekends are the only time I get to sew, but that is ok.

Now I'm off to search for tips on free motion quilting, since I'd like to give that a go.

Welcome Sally. I took a class from Harriet Hargrave author of "Heirloom Machine Quilting" and it really helped me hone my skills so I was able to win a lot of ribbons with my quilts. It still is my go to book in my library.
