Good Morning! I am new here and love it already. I have been quilting for about 10 years and was taught by a good friend after I moved from Texas to the Northeast. It has been an amazing journey and I have loved every minute. I have never met a more interesting and helpful group of people as I have found with quilters. I look forward to reading and sharing with all of you...

Hi and welcome from west of Philly. You'll love it here. You won't get much sewing done, and your fingers will get a workout.....

Thanks so much for the nice welcome!! My friends in Texas actually have cooler weather than we do right now!! Yes, my time today will be spent sewing....No outdoor activities for me....Not that I ever need a reason to stay in and sew...

Welcome from North Central PA.
I was just near Philly about a month ago. I visited The Quilt Block in Exton, and Chester County in Phoenixville. Ramona at Chester County Quilting is so nice and I have never seen so many precuts! Got some a great beach bag pattern at The Quilt block. Have already made 2. ;-)

Hi and welcome from Alaska!

Laura3 07-27-2010 02:33 AM

I have never heard of either of those places! I am always looking for new shops to get ideas and look at fabric. Since I am so close to Lancaster, I have my favorite and inexpensive fabric shops out there. But sometimes I need something different and a little closer to home....

grann of 6 07-27-2010 03:31 AM

I have never heard of either of those places and I am "spitting" distance from Exton, spend a lot of my time there. And Phoenixville is a leisurely drive from me. I may have to drag my DIL out for a girls day out. She doesn't quilt or even sew but is a good sport. She supports my habit.

Laura3 07-27-2010 06:10 AM

It looks like the shops are fairly close to each other...A trip to both...That's always fun!
