Hi everyone. My name is Jen and I'm 28 years old. I'm married to a really great man and I have 2 very beautiful girls, Angela (10 on 5/20) and Abigail (First Birthday is 5/24). I have quite a few hobbies. I crochet, cross stitch, scrapbook and I just started quilting about a month ago and so far I'm addicted. I don't get much time to work though as the girls keep me very busy. I try to work at night after the kids have gone to bed, but sometimes I don't because it's also the only time I really get to spend alone with my husband.

I'm still learning everything there is to know about quilting. I've gotten about 5 or 6 12inch blocks done so far, all different as I'm trying different blocks out so I can learn them all. I'll post some pics when I can. I also started a blog last week and when I get a minute or two, I'll post some pics to that as well.

I hope to make some friends here. I've joined other groups and they end up being a way for the moderaters to advertize and I'm not really into that, I'd rather have a place to go and talk and meet new people and find help when I need it.

I guess that's all for now.

Take care!!

What's the weather been like in Upstate New York? We had a bit of snow here again last night (Montana). Last week it felt like spring-not yet

Weather has been up and down for a few weeks. Been really nice most days though, above normal for temps. Tomorrow they say will be up to 65 degrees, which I love!! I'm so ready for the warm weather to STAY!

Hi and welcome

Jen:
Welcome from a New York girl retired in Argentina. If you are looking for a nice place to meet nice, helpful people, you have come to the right place. So many of the people here are very experienced and will offer any help they can. I have met some very wonderful people here and hope you do too.
By the way, my sister lives in Slaterville Springs, about 5 miles from Ithaca and Lake Cayuga in the Finger Lakes. We are Long Island girls but I love it there. What beautiful country!!
Again welcome,
Penny
