This is my first time on any kind of message board, but I have read a bunch of the topics and find them really interesting and down to earth - in other words practical! I am retired now and looking forward to more quilting. I mostly do pieced tops and have recently been trying to learn on a long-arm quilting machine. My current problem has to do with cutting extremely long strips the are not cut across the grain, but lengthwise. How do you handle that length of cloth?

Hello and welcome from Ontario. When I cut length of fabric I do fold it to a more managable length, but this can give you distorted cuts. Perhaps someone here has a better solution.
