Hello 👋 all so happy to be here
Hello everyone,
So happy to be a part of a group of people who get just as excited about vintage sewing machines as I do. My grandmother taught me to sew at a very young age and it has become a life skill I will forever be thankful for. Although my career is a complete opposite working as one of very few women in what many would consider a male appropriate line of work. Sewing is my release and way of grounding myself to whom I am. I have a love for antique treadles and although I’m only a novice I have revived 3 antique singer treadle to working condition. I look forward to sharing future projects while learning and admiring all that you wish to share. My current project is a white vs model A treadle that I hope someone on this forum also may have a sister to. Melanie |
Welcome to the QB and happy quilting :)

Welcome Pugsugar. I'm a fan of vintage machines myself (having sewn on one for decades) but don't have the knowledge some of the people do, but you are indeed among similar types.
Someday I will have a working treadle, mostly it's a matter of space right now... |
Welcome from Michigan!:)

Hello, and welcome from Southern Indiana. Do you quilt too? Looking forward to seeing some of your work...whether it is a quilt, or the machine that sews them.....

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. 👋

I’ve only dabbled in quilting but am always open to learning more. I most definitely will post projects is there a tread on here where people share their work ? |

Hi Pugsugar. Welcome from Southern California. I learned to sew on a treadle, too. I know you'll find lots of good information here, and sewing friends, too.
