Hello to all!

My name is Jon. I've been making quilt blocks for several years. I never really assembled a full quilt until about 3 years ago. I have completed one full quilt and have 2 more tops completed. I'm currently in the planning stages for my next project once I get time. Any ideas? :)

Most of my time these days is spent between working as a programmer full time and my side job of running a small quilt shop. I'm hoping to get some time freed up and start on a few projects, need to make some UFOs :)

Welcome! I always have too many project ideas and not enough time LOL. There is a lot of inspiration on this board or you could check out quilting sites online like Quiltville http://quiltville.com/. Moda http://www.modabakeshop.com/ also has a great website with lots of free patterns . Have fun!

Welcome from Illinois!

Hard to make a recommendation of a new project without knowing what kind of quilts appeal to you.

Modern?
Traditional pieced?
Scrappy?
Applique?
Whole Cloth?
Quick and Easy?

Welcome Jon! I have a suggestion (for those that have seen me share this several other places around the board, I am not affiliated in anyway to the blog.) http://knitnlit.blogspot.com/2012/09...-triangle.html

Some guy was engaged to a girl and they decided to make each other a quilt. He figured out (maybe on computer, which may interest you???) how many different designs ou could make with 16 half square triangle in each block. At this link are the introduction and connections to a do-along of each block. Each new block finishes with a link to pics of how everyone was coming along. This is my next project as I want something my husband, the engineer, would really get into. Whatever you decide, please post pics of your progress and complete top. Welcome. This link is the actual blocks each week. http://knitnlit.blogspot.com/search?...max-results=50

Welcome Jon and SusanF.
Jon: you can try applique and embroidery. The blocks in the quilt I'm making for my grandniece have both in them and I'm having fun learning how. Also, if you need ideas try signing on for some of the block of the month stuff. I'm currently following along on Elisabrat's Medallion style quilt build and that's providing the design for the rest of my grand niece's quilt.
